Piggott says that the grid (in it’s various positions) represents the mind. It is both a closed ‘system’ and an aperture, floating above but capable of connecting to the varied grounds beneath. The interplay between the grounds - a gentle ruffle of collage and circle, overlaid with a grid - prevents a sense of stasis... the Integrity Series are minimalist.
