A vibrant series of prints developed as a further offering from Rob’s 1996 ‘Waiata Series’.

They combine a positive musicality, with the sacred feeling of luminous stained-glass windows.

The artist’s intention is to transcend nationality and language-differences with universal abstract works. This is a series of Global Well-Wishing.

Started in 1996, this series of many linocut blocks had for years remained either unfinished, or unprinted, in the artist’s studio until January 2008, when Taiwanese artist Shun-Chun Lin encouraged Rob to devote the time and energy to bring the series to it’s full completion.

Seven of the prints were approved and partially editioned, resulting in a  ‘debut exhibition’ in Taiwan later that year.

( - A small catalogue was produced displaying four of the seven prints produced in 2008, along with eleven of Rob’s abstract ink-paintings from “Love and Action” and “The Ending of Zen” series).

Since 2010 Rob has gradually been working to fulfill this beautiful, and large, body of work.

From the original 1996 conception, they have undergone a subtle transformation from Rob’s earlier series of ‘Waiata’ for the new New Zealand; to now becoming universal ‘Songs for World Harmony’.
